Cat Friendly Hospital Western Sydney

Quakers Hill Veterinary Hospital has instituted a number of features to enhance the care and treatment of cats in Western Sydney.

The staff are knowledgeable and understand cats. They display a gentle, caring and empathetic approach to handling cats. Michael Sames, one of the partners, has a membership in Feline Medicine awarded by the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and a Certificate of Veterinary Ophthalmology awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Science. He is an experienced diagnostician skilled in ultrasound and has interests in hypertension. This is backed by dedicated fellow clinicians in a six-vet team and a team of qualified veterinary nurses.

Your experience starts in the extraordinary waiting room. All consult rooms are enclosed. We are proud of our separate cat ward. The cats have the choice of beds, igloos or both. Each large size cage is impregnated with Feliway.

We are especially proud of our on-site diagnostic equipment. It includes:
  • Vetlab workstation - haematology, biochemistry, urinalysis, clotting times
  • Digital xray
  • Ultrasound
  • Endoscope
  • Parkes Doppler Blood Pressure Monitor
  • Slit lamp, Indirect Ophthalmoscope, Tonometry
